a game of UNO
Many years ago, I made a passing tweet about a shonen-esque story idea about UNO that I thought was funny. I ended up making a few pages, and somehow that blew up. I'm still in disbelief how that happened. It's at a point it was made into a video a year after it was originally posted. It got ProZD voicing one of my characters... wild...
Anyway. Here's all the pages of the UNO comic I've made.
Technically these next set of pages are meant to be treated like they're a scene from another episode. I've never made it clear in my original posts, but that's really the intent there. They were never meant to be connected with the first two pages.
It does end on a cliffhanger, and a lot of people asked for me to finish it. I'm not sure if I can continue it though, it has been way too long. But if I do consider, I might just remake it to a more proper and cohesive story. No guarantees though, I just only drew it because like I said — I thought it was funny. I can't say it's my proudest work since I've only drawn it on a whim and without too much thought about it while blasting JAM Project music in the background.
And then a few months back, I had redrawn the very first panel to celebrate its 10th year anniversary of that comic being shared to the world. I made it a lot more dynamic and more fluid to follow (hopefully) so it'd be more like a manga panel.
And sometimes, I'd get a few people here and there tell me that the comic inspired them or brought at least some joy in their day. That, I think, is probably the best thing to hear out of someone after they look at my art. To know that it made their day is heartening enough for me to continue what I do.
May Yuno and his friends continue to bring you joy in your lives. He won't ever play DOS however. (Because I have, and it's just OK-)
